Although “concealed or open carry” by all is permissible under Texas law, visible handguns may alarm parishioners and prompt conversation.
Considering the options that houses of worship have regarding firearms, Fuego Church’s policy is the following:
Permit any licensed person to carry concealed with registration.
- If you are licensed to carry, you will be permitted to carry concealed, and you will need to register as “licensed to carry” on the property. Your information will be kept confidential by our Executive Leadership and only shared with hired certified peace officers, the security team, and ministry leadership. Register by emailing evenegas@fuego.church
- Any guest coming in with a firearm would be directed to the assigned contact person to verify they are “licensed to carry” and given information that their carry status would be reported to assigned licensed peace officers and security team.
- With the exception of certified peace officers, no one will be permitted to open carry.
When you attend any of our campuses, you will notice Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 30.07 signs posted.
